Encourage

It is hard to encourage others when we ourselves have not been encouraged, but Paul tells us to encourage ourselves … and then encourage others, even if we don’t feel like it, because when we encourage others, we begin to see God’s purpose in that moment and we are, in turn, encouraged.

Feel sick? Pray for someone you know who is sick.

Feel discouraged? Pray for your co-workers or your family. Ask God to give them the Want-To.

Feel sad? Write a brightly decorated note to someone you know who is lonely.

It works. It’s hard work, but it works.
