Be kind.
So many ways to be kind.
You can be kind and still be selfish because being kind and
seeing the effect of being kind on other people can create pride in your heart.
Being kind is more complicated than the t-shirt saying.
Jesus, our example, was kind, but from the outside it
sometimes looked cruel.
The New Kind is judgmental, accusatory, finger pointing,
entitled. Everyone is entitled, now, to receive kindness from others. If they don’t,
they are crucified on the cross of Facebook, shunned by the Others Majority, shamed.
Be Kind. Enforce it. Expect it. Demand it. If you don’t get
kindness, leave the store, boycott the business, oust the member, ban the
group.
Kindness is about how we feel towards others from our heart.
Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit. If a person does not have the Spirit of God
residing in them, their kindness is only outward show, a social covering, an
ease of the guilty conscience.
Yes, be kind, but keep it quiet, make it respectful, honor
others with it, and do not force your kindness on those who do not wish it. Do
not do it out of guilt, but out of authentic love for the one needing kindness.
