Always

There are very few absolutes in this life. Death and taxes, of course. The unexpected. Trouble and accidents.

There are also very few things in this life that are ALWAYS true, always dependable, always there.

My new car is dependable, until it ages. Now it’s not.

The roof on my house has always kept out the rain, but now it’s not.

The job I thought I’d have until I retired needed me – desperately – until they didn’t.

The friend that said they’d always be there for me can’t.

The person who I thought would always be happy to see me and willing to talk isn’t.

God is always.

He always hears and answers my prayers. He always protects, always heals, always knows what I need before I need it, always guides.

He’s on stand-by.

His Word is always true, always there, and will continue on always until the end of this world.
